My summer postcard project is my longest on-going art project. It officially started when I came to Alaska in the summer of 2021 as a post-graduation trip. What was supposed to be just a summer vacation quickly turned into an experience I wouldn't be able to let go of. I created my postcard project: 100 hand-painted postcards + stories that I sent to people all over the world. I fell in love with Alaska and knew it was a place I had to return to. I now call this state home, this year being my fifth full summer spent in the last frontier. I am able to support myself as a full time artist in the state I love because of patrons like you. I continue this postcard project each year to remind myself of that first summer I entered the adult world as a working artist and the support that I was able to harness. My life has completely blossomed since then and I couldn’t be more grateful that I get to call this my job. I now work out of my own studio|gallery in downtown Anchorage and am getting married this summer! If you would like to view all postcards from years past, past works tab. This is a limited series.
